Thank you for considering lending your property for the 2019 Highland Square Neighborhood Association PorchRokr Festival! We count on the neighborhood’s participation for the success of the event. We are seeking porches for bands and musicians to perform on. We also need artist booth and food vendor locations to help us with this event.

If you live in the event area, we hope you will share your porch or yard, hold a yard sale or participate in other creative ways. If you are a block watch member or part of any other neighbors group or organization, we would very much like to hear from you.

Registration will be open until June 1, 2019. After that date the Site Committee will begin reviewing all entries for placement in the footprint.

What’s the schedule?

The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. The first bands will begin playing on porches at Noon. The last bands will begin at 5 p.m. on porches and finish at 6 p.m. Your porch will host a band every other hour during the day. You should plan on at least three bands performing on your porch.

What do I have to provide?

We ask that the homeowners provide power for the bands to use. Typically, this is not a big draw on the homeowners power supply. We understand that many homes are older in the area and historically we have not had issues with this.

What don’t I have to provide?

Please understand that by agreeing to host you are not required to let anyone inside your home. There will be portable toilets throughout the festival for guest to use.

What else?

As a note, not every property is best suited to accommodate a band. Also, proximity of other porches must be considered in the planning process.
